Friends Life Care Supports Foulkeways’ Music & Memory Program Fundraiser
Forget Me Knot Walk & Run
Friends Life Care Partners participated in a fundraiser last weekend. Carol Barbour, CEO, helped to introduce the event welcoming over 150 participants.
She was joined by other Friends Life Care Partners team members to support the second annual Forget Me Knot 5K and 1 Mile Walk & Run at Foulkeways’ community in Gwynedd . Donations were raised for the Foulkeways’ community Music and Memory program. The Music and Memory program brings the joy of music and music-triggered memories to individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. This program was introduced in 2010 by the not for profit Music & MemorySM Organization. Last year, Foulkeways used proceeds from the event to purchase iPods and to upload personalized songs for individuals suffering with dementia residing in Montgomery, Bucks, Philadelphia, Delaware and Chester counties. They provided some of these iPods to Friends Life Care to share. Friends Life Care saw first hand the wonderful impact that this program had.
