Membership Plans for Independent Aging

Friends Life Care offers an affordable selection of membership plans designed to support asset protection combined with the resources necessary for true independent aging.

Improve and Maintain Your Independence

Customized plans provide comprehensive care coordination and home care, along with special opportunities to help improve and maintain independence. Costs vary depending upon your age, health, and other factors. We offer many options and choices so you can decide what is best for you.

Once approved, members review available options:

Dollar amount or daily benefit for care services.

Preferred term or length of care coverage.

Cost of living adjustment for protection against inflation.

Discounts for household memberships and preferred health status.

Self-pay period similar to a deductible on an insurance policy.

Plans Designed to Keep You at Home

Friends Life Care plans are designed specifically to help you remain in your own home independently, and the very high majority of our members are currently doing just that. Care coordination plans without a financial benefit are available for people who are willing to self-insure or have an existing long-term care insurance policy. You can also select a plan with coverage for assisted living or nursing home care in the facility of your choice should your situation change with the life care option.  Maintain your independence with Friends Life Care at home.

A Sample Plan

The average cost of membership is $3,330 per year. For example, an individual who joins Friends Life Care at 62 years old will pay an annual fee of $2,475 for $125 of daily coverage for 2 years. That amounts to a benefit of $91,250. Use our benefit and cost calculator to test out different pricing scenarios. Fees are typically paid on an annual basis; however, you may pay them monthly, quarterly, or bi-annually if that better suits your budget. Fees are based primarily on age and health status at the time of application.

Home Accessibility Resources

A more accessible home is a safer home, and one more suitable for aging in place. Friend Life Care membership includes a full in-home accessibility evaluation and modification recommendations. Learn more about home accessibility using the following resources.

Available Discounts

Discounts are available for you and your spouse/partner, and both people in the household can sign up for and share access to each other’s plans. With a Friends Life Care plan you’ll gain choices, access to care when you need it, and independence. The average cost of membership is $3,300 a year.
