Petals Please – How It Works

Petals Please takes in donated flowers from various events like weddings, funerals, and other occasions. And they also collect donated mugs, teacups, and cans. Then volunteers artfully arrange these blooms into individual bouquets in their new holders. And voila, flowers that would have otherwise been discarded are given a second life.

The attention and love that is part of the flower arrangements makes each bouquet a special kindness, designed to brighten the recipient’s day and bring a genuine smile to their face.

Petals Please is more than just a charitable organization; it’s a movement of compassion and connection for aging adults. By turning ordinary flowers into extraordinary gestures of love, they remind us all of the beauty and impact of small acts of kindness.

Since starting up in 2018, they have delivered over 200,000 bouquets. Operating out of a small room in a local church, the organization is entirely run by volunteers.

Ways to Contribute

The impact of Petals Please is made possible through generous donations and support of the community. The staff at Friends Life Care recently had the chance to help. Friends Life Care held a donation drive for mugs, cups, and cans to support Petals Please.

They collected 135  items that will be used creatively as containers for the floral arrangements, adding to the beauty and uniqueness of each and every bouquet.  The bouquets are as special as the people receiving them!
