There is much coverage about antibiotic resistant bacteria in the news, but what is it all about and how does it affect you? Friends Life Care Coordinator Linda Hnatow, BSN, RN, MS will explain what antibiotic resistance is, how it occurs, and how you can prevent it. Linda will also discuss why it's important to prevent antibiotic resistance in today's healthcare settings, including how it affects your overall health at any age.
Prior to Friends Life Care and her nursing career, Linda was a researcher in molecular microbiology at the University of Delaware and E.I Dupont Co., where she worked with various bacteria for over 17 years. She also taught microbiology at various levels and presented at both the local and national levels.
