Legend claims that the Old Pine Street Church was a stop on the Underground Railroad for people fleeting slavery in the 1800's. Friends Life Care member and historian, Ronn Shaffer will lead a tour of the Old Pine Street 1768 graveyard, explain how a tunnel under Pine Street connected the Underground Railroad to a house owned by a Quaker lady and give a spirited narrative of 18th century Revolutionary patriots, sea captains and everyday citizens of the time.
