Tour Philadelphia's only accessible and intact stop on the Underground Railroad. The Johnson House was owned by a family of Quaker abolitionists who worked with other European Americans and African Americans - free and enslaved - to secure safe passage to freedom along the network of clandestine routes and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad. Attend and learn about the daring people who labored for the freedom of others while gaining an appreciation for the courage of the enslaved to embark on their perilous, hope-filled journey to freedom.
