Announcing Spring Member Meetings: You Are Invited
We hope you can attend one of the upcoming Spring Member Meetings.
Join us and learn more about the important topic of solitude, loneliness and isolation. Professor Philip McCallion, Director of the School of Social Work at Temple University, is the featured presenter. His talk is entitled: “Desired Solitude and Undesired Loneliness”. He will speak about myths surrounding loneliness, explain how isolationism can affect our health as we age and share the latest research findings on when being alone is beneficial and when it’s not.
You will hear about an important research study on this topic which has been initiated by a number of local Quaker Senior Living organizations. You are invited to participate in this study if you wish.
