“My wife and I joined Friends Life Care in March 2018. We did so because we don’t have any children and do not want to be a burden to our nieces and nephews, who have families of their own. Friends Life Care has an extensive network of companies and home health aides who are put through a thorough and rigorous interview process in order to provide their members with the highest level of care possible. When my 94-year-old dad needed help at home, my sisters and I called different agencies, but to our dismay, we got the distinct feeling the aides that showed up had just met their coordinators. Not sure if the aides were reliable and qualified, we decided to contact a third agency that connected us with Lynne. Lynne had been with the agency for 3 to 4 years, and she was absolutely terrific with my dad. I joined Friends Life Care because I wanted to make sure the person who takes care of me towards the end of my life will be as caring and competent as Lynne was with my dad.

Friends Life Care coordinators Katie and Jen have monitored our healthcare needs once a year, and they always made themselves available to answer any questions we might have about the services that Friends Life Care offers.”

“Friends Life Care staff came through when I called them on a Sunday afternoon from the emergency room. I had been diagnosed with a fractured shoulder on my dominant right arm. I live alone in my home. On Monday and successive days afterwards, I had 4 to six hours a day help to drive me to doctor appointments and shopping and to help me with activities of daily living. The care givers I had were remarkable and caring human beings with a helpful mixture of initiative and ability to take directions.

Six weeks after my fall and three weeks after surgery I am fortunately comfortable showering and dressing at home by myself. Even after I move into a continuing care retirement facility, I plan to keep my friend’s life care policy for whatever eventualities in which I might need care.”

Two years ago Mary Ann had emergency surgery in Seattle and required follow-up home care. The FLC Care Coordinator was very responsive in providing the Seattle people contact information on quality healthcare providers in central Pennsylvania to meet Mary Ann’s home care needs.
