My Mother’s cognitive functioning has deteriorated so C_______ tries to engage her. She also has a sixth sense knowing how my Mother feels and can anticipate how best to handle a situation- whether my Mother needs to be spoken to a certain way so that she is more likely to express herself or whether it’s a good time to walk a visitor down the hall to the elevator. … When C_____ is taking care of our Mother, we feel confident all is under control.
