Lauren Young Lapin, MS, OTR/L, CAPS
Wellness Coordinator & Home Accessibility Specialist
Lauren has been a licensed Occupational Therapist for over 28 years, working primarily with the older population in both facility and home care settings. She has special credentials as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist, from the National Association of Home Builders (CAPS certified), and extensive experience in cognitive assessment and home modification/accessibility. She has taught Occupational Therapy at Harcum College, Temple University and Philadelphia University.
As both an OT, and a former family caregiver herself, for her own grandmother, Lauren experienced first-hand, the overlapping physical, cognitive, caregiver and environmental issues involved in caring for a loved one at home, and shares this expertise in her role as Wellness Coordinator at Friends Life Care.
